Help desk index page

The help desk index page is the main entry point that users will enter the help desk. It contains quick links all parts of the site aswell as links to the most recent announcements and most popular knowledge base articles.

User account creation page

Users can create a help desk account by visiting this page. If a user creates a new support ticket before opening an account, an account is automatically created and the user does not need to visit this page.

Users can open a support ticket by visiting this page and filling out the on line form. Users can also open tickets via email.

Once a ticket has been opened users can view admin responces to their ticket and reply either by loggin into their help desk members area or via email.

Knowledge base

When users click on the knowledge base link they will visit this page. This page lists the top level knowledge base categories. It also can show a brief description of the category if written.

Below the knowledge base categories there is a list of the most viewed knowledge base articles

The knowledge base article page allows users comment on an article, rate it and print it.

Knowledge base articles are written using an html editor and can be formatted easily to suit the needs of the owners business

Admin Home Page

When an admin logs into SitePanel, they will be directed to this page.

The page is designed to be user friendly and give as much information about the help desk as possible

Front Page information includes

    new support tickets A list of new support tickets
    list of tickets A list of tickets assigned to the logged in admin.
    A calender that admins can add tasks to A calender that admins can add tasks to.
    A count of new tickets, my tickets, closed tickets A count of new tickets, my tickets, closed tickets.

Support tickets can be listed by:

    A calender that admins can add tasks to Unassigned Tickets
    A count of new tickets, my tickets, closed tickets Closed Tickets

Admin Knowledge base category page

The knowledge base admin page allows admins to view and edit all categories from all GUI's.

This page is set out like the front end knowledge base page so admins can easily understand how the categories look.

Adding new articles is quick and easy with SitePanel.

Add a title, the description, select a category, choose which GUI or GUIs to assign it to and even add an attachment. Click save and you are done.

This page shows a list of all the announcements

Announcements are listed in the order they are written. Like knowledge base articles you can choose a single or multiple GUI for the announcement to show on. They also have the abilility to be disabled from the front end. They are added in much the same way as knowledge base articles.
